About me

I’ve been in full time private practice for 25 years. I see clients face-to-face and online from my office in South Manchester.

I work with individuals, couples (and other relationships) and supervise other professionals working in caring industries.

I have regularly appeared on TV, radio and in print in my capacity as a Sex & Relationships expert over the years. I am currently the relationship expert on Kay Adams’ morning show feature, The Health Surgery on BBC Radio Scotland.

I am a  Certified Imago Relationship Therapist.

I am available for one-to-one psychotherapy, Imago Relationship Therapy for couples, ACT therapy for individuals and hypnotherapy either online or in person from my office at The Wellbeing Place in Chorlton, South Manchester.

Training

  • Member of the National Register of Hypnotherapists & Psychotherapists (NRHP); a professional body, registered by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
  • Professional insurance certificate with Balens Ltd.
  • Diploma in Hypnosis & Psychotherapy (DHP), from Centre Training School (CTS – 1995) as well as further training certificates in psychopathology, ethics, Dissociative Identity Disorder, narcissism, sexuality and human development, neurodivergence, trauma informed.
  • Qualified as a counsellor supervisor in 2000 and have run personal development groups for certificate training programmes and newly qualified practitioners in the North West.
  • Qualified ACT practioner (Acceptance and Commitmant Therapy) in 2019.
  • Certified Imago Relationship Therapist (2022)
